I like this statement from Neil Cole, in his book Organic Church. "Every christian a church planter, every home a church, every block our responsibility [my addition], and every building a training center.

Jim Hall

Generally speaking, "we don't get what we expect, we get what we inspect." Church planters who are seriously seeking to empower their launch members to personally reach persons for Christ and disciple those reached to reach others - will report when that goal is being reached. The usual report of church planting success is simply total head counts in their largest group meetings. To borrow from Alan Hirsch, that is like reporting how many are at the church "feeding trough".
